Automatic daily restarting of NT8 options

When running a 24/7 system it will eventually fall out of sync if NT has been continuously running for multiple days. I've noticed that this is remedied by restarting NT. I'm wondering if there is a way to reliably initiate a daily restart at a designated time which also reopens any previously open workspace. Many APIs force daily restarts and it has even been at NT's support request to restart daily but am confused why there it doesn't seem to be a native option which does this.

Thank you for your message.


While NinjaTrader can continue to run with a solid connection, we always recommend restarting once per day to refresh the database and reset your connections in case of server changes or maintenance. This also helps ensure that your account's reporting is updated properly after a broker applies fees or commissions to an account overnight and resets fully if you are using a built-in commission template to keep track of commissions as you trade.

Unfortunately, there is no built-in way for the connections and database to refresh automatically.

With that, I'll put in a request/suggestion of adding the option in future versions. This would drastically improve the QoL of those who are operating systems that run continuously.
