Logic between N T7 and NT8 for remaining position after removing one contract

When I enter two trades at different prices and later take one off, NT7 and NT8 display different values for the remaining position. NT 8 works as I expect using the FIFO logic. That remaining position is the price of the last contract entered.

NT 7 is using some other logic. It looks like some average price. Can you tell me where this behavior is documented? I would like NT7 to behave like NT8 on this behavior.

Thank you for using NinjaTrader.

NinjaTrader 7 and NinjaTrader 8 should both use FIFO logic.

Please provide a screenshot of the differences you are seeing between the two platforms.

I have added 4 charts. Trading 1 ct on each of NT7 and NT8, Pic 1 shows placing 1ct each. Pic 2 shows placing the 2nd ct in each NT7 and NT8. Pic 3 shows placing the 3rd ct in NT7 and NT8. Pic 4 shows removing 1 ct in each NT7 and NT8. It also show how the average price remaining is different.

Additionally, please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.

• Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
• Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
• Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
