    Platform Contract Database Broken?

    Last night and this morning I opened workspaces only a few months old with the intention to bring them forward to from the 09-22 to the 12-22 contracts.

    Some charts opened as expected then rolled over as expected. Other charts failed.. Both charts were using the same custom bar series.

    On workspace had all indicators stripped off and CTRL-F showed the image below. These chart failed on the rollover and remain unusable.

    At some point I saw this error several times. This error no longer appears on restart of NT8 but restored copies of formerly working workspaces still show indicators stripped and the errors on the bars/data series.

    9/28/2022 8:27:22 AM Default Failed to resolve instrument for market data: F.US.MNQ.M22 could not be resolved.


    Any tips on how to get the workspaces to restore/open correctly?

      Thank you for your post.

      Please try restoring your workspace from an older save using the 'Restore workspace' feature:

      Complete the following steps to use the "Restore workspace" feature:
      1. Navigate to Tools -> Database Management
      2. Select "Restore workspace"
      3. Select Restore to be directed to the location of the recovery workspaces
      4. Workspaces will be organized in folders with the same name as the workspace
      5. Double click the folder of the workspace you want to recover and then select the recovery file with the date/time that you want to recover. You'll want to select a file larger than 1kb from the available options.

        Hi Chris,

        Thanks for the reply.

        I have tried several restored workspaces.

        I possibly sorted one of two errors .. a changed id number in one of the custom bar series.

        Any insight on why I received this error?

          Restoring / Replacing that retired custom bar type with a bar type of the same ID number appears to have solved the issue.
