Tick Chart difference Live versus trading system analysis

Hi

why is there a (small) difference between a NQ 150 tick chart from the livechart and from the
systemanalyse chart

Only after reload historical data in the chartmenu from the the livechart is the livechart identical to the systemanalyse chart

are the saved tick chart data wrong ?
or the live chart is wrong ?
why ?

Thank you for the message.

The first thing is most likely the small differences between the Real-time data that is drawn on the chart vs the Historical Data.

• When a chart is first created/loaded in, it pulls in the Historical Data and then draws the chart using the Real-time data from there as it comes in.
• If you right-click on the chart and Reload all historical data, this causes the chart to re-load everything you can see with the Historical Data instead which can be different for a variety of reasons.

This affects Tick based charts more than Time based charts as a 1 minute bar will always be drawn as a 1 minute bar as it is provided that way by the data provider

• A Tick based chart is not time locked, so it can take 1 minute to build a 100 tick bar or 20 minutes to build a 100 tick bar. So, if even a single tick falls into a new bar upon reloading/redrawing, it can affect the look of the chart from that point moving forward.

As well, you will want to make sure you have the "Break EOD" setting checked for both charts as this makes sure it only looks at the data within the time frame of the Trading Hours template.

So, it sounds like everything is working as expected and you are just seeing the minor differences as mentioned above.
