Basic Entry

Good Morning,

I am completely new to NinjaTrader migrating over from TradingView. Is there not any way to simply do a market order with a stop loss in the basic entry ? I am using the free license until I get more acquainted with the platform as it is very different from where I came from. Thanks so much.

Hello Orion0767,

If you have the free license key that allows live trading, unfortunately you can't use ATM strategies. You will need to lease a license key or purchase the lifetime license key if you like to trade live and make use of ATM strategies.

If you have the free license key that is limited to simulation trading, you can use ATM strategies. Please see the following link for information on ATM strategies.

If you don't have the free license key that is limited to simulation trading, please send us an email at "platformsupport[AT]ninjatrader[dot]com".

In the Basic Entry window, please set the ATM Strategy field to Custom and a new window appears to configure the ATM strategy. Once configured, please click OK and then submit a market order using the Buy Mkt or Sell Mkt buttons. The market order will be submitted with the ATM strategy attached that you configured.
