Excessive data usage from Ninjatrader 8

I have noticed my Ninja trader 8 has been using over 200gb of data in the last 30 days and I find this unusual.

I only have 3 charts open - ES 1000, 2500, and 10000 tick with 5 days of historical data set.

My wife has the exact same settings and charts on her computer and the data usage has only been 22gb in the last 30 days.

How am I able to figure out what is causing all of this data to be used?

Were there any changes in NinjaTrader 30 days ago? Did you perhaps install a custom created or 3rd party add-on?

Am I correct the Documents-->NinjaTrader 8 folder has been increased by 200 GB? If so, what sub folder has increased that much? Could it be the "db" folder which contains historical data? Or did the "log" and "trace" folders greatly increase in size?

What indicators do you have applied in the 3 charts?

Hi Jason,

My ninjatrader 8 file has a total of 3.5gb and the db folder has 600mb.

I am talking about internet data usage.

I have 2 momentum indicators on each chart (stochastic, RSX). I also have a few EMA's, and opening range. Nothing else.

I'm confused because my wife has the exact same chart setup with indicators and 3 charts with 5 days loaded and her internet data usage is only 10% of what mine is

Can you please tell me how you check that NinjaTrader used 205.96 GB.

Do you both connect to the same broker/data feed in the NinjaTrader platform?

Do you have any custom created or 3rd party add-ons present in NinjaTrader?

I check it with:

On windows 10, network status -> data usage

I have attached both screenshots please let me know if you can view them

I am currently connected with to ninja trader continuum sim data feed. I am not using any 3rd party addons

Yes, I can view the screenshots. I don't have these settings in Windows (I don't have a limited data plan).

Could it be you reload historical data in charts often while your wife does not? NinjaTrader uses internet data typically for realtime data that is received, but also when historical data is reloaded. When you reload historical data in a chart, it loads all chart data anew from the connected broker/data feed connection.
