Average price after stock split
Tesla stock split happened yesterday and my position list still shows old average price. The net profit is wrong in Ninja trader 8. My broker site shows everything properly.
I reloaded the historical data, the chart shows the correct price. Its just the average price a problem. How to fix this?Tags: None

Hello sambathraj,
Thank you for writing in.
Are you saying that when you go to the Control Center > Positions tab, the values here are showing incorrectly?
If Yes:- Please restart NinjaTrader and connect to your account again. Have the values updated?
- Close NinjaTrader
- Go to Documents folder > NinjaTrader 8 > db > NinjaTrader.sdf, right-click on this file and select 'Rename' and change the name to "NinjaTrader Old.sdf" and press Enter on your keyboard to save the name change
- Reopen NinjaTrader, connect, and check the Position values again
- If you are unsure of how to take a screenshot, I recommend using the Windows Snipping tool.
Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.- Click on the Windows Icon at the bottom of your screen and type the word "Snip"
- Click on the Snipping tool, click New, then click and drag around the area you want to screenshot
- Click File > Save As > Save the screenshot where you can find it
- Please click here for a video demonstration

Hi,
In the control center, the number of positions for TSLA has updated correctly. The average price has not. I followed your instructions and made the change. But the average price is still shown as old value. (> 800).

Hello sambathraj,
Thank you for the update.
Since we created a new database, this would have removed any order information in the platform and caused the platform to ping the order servers upon connection and re-download the Position Information.- The NinjaTrader platform will show the Average Price Values as they are being provided to the NinjaTrader platform from your broker. Please see the following link for more information on where the Positions information is coming from:
Since you were in the position when this split occurred, I am curious if it is somehow being reported or sent with the old information.- Once you are no longer in a position on TSLA, restart your computer and then reconnect and when you are ready place a test trade to TSLA and see if it reports the Average Price as expected for the new positions moving forward.
- As well, take a screenshot that shows what the Average Price looks like in the other trading platform and a screenshot of what the Average Price looks like in NinjaTrader so we can compare both

I checked again today and now the average price is reflecting correctly. It seems like there is 1 day delay between my broker and Ninja trader. Not sure why. But this issue is resolved now. Thanks for your help.
