Simulation Candle Tick Chart Not Displaying Correctly

    Hi,
I'm super new to the NT8 platform. I think I have most of the setup in check. However, I encounter the following issue when I use the simulated data feed connection. I'd like to trade and backtest in simulation using tick chart for /ES and /CL.
Can anyone advise me on why the chart displays this way? What settings do I need to modify to fix it? When I zoom in to earlier candles, it displays correctly but when scrolled to the right to the latest candle, I get the attached view.
Also, what's the "Trend" vertical window highlighted in yellow on the left for?
    Please assist. Thank you.

    Hello givemefood,

    Thank you for your post.

If you are connecting to the simulated data feed, this is expected behavior. The simulated feed is internally generated data as opposed to live data from the Exchange and does not store any historical data therefore the charts will begin with a single bar.

Below I have provided a link to our site where you can request a free demo for futures which provides real time and historical data.Let me know if I may be of further assistance.

Thank you. I just submitted the request. Will the data be automatically available in my installation of NT8?

I got an email from CQGTrader stating that demo allowance is exceeded. How can I fix this?

I'd like to do 2 things:
        1) backtest strategies on real data
        2) live simulation trade on real data

What needs to happen to do the 2 things listed above?

        Please advise. Thanks.

            Hello givemefood,

The demo account that you received from CQG will allow you to set up a demo connection to NinjaTrader Continuum. This will provide real-time and historical futures data. This will allow you to backtest strategies on real historical data and place simulated trades on live market data.

The following link will take you to a page that details the steps required for creating a connection to NinjaTrader Continuum:

I did not receive a demo login. Instead, I got an email from CQGTrader stating that demo allowance is exceeded.

                Hello givemefood,

The exchanges only allow one demo account for each individual trader. If you requested a demo account from CQG in the past, then you would no longer be able to request additional demo accounts.

You can receive real-time and historical market data by funding a live trading account. You can send an email to [email protected] for more information.
