Can an Indicator be recovered from a "NinjaTrader 8 OLD" file ?

Is this indicator an assembly (DLL) file that was purchased from a third-party vendor?

If so, please reach out to the vendor of the indicator for another copy of the indicator file to import on your NinjaTrader 8 platform.

Or, is this indicator a .cs file found in the User App Share center or the NinjaTrader Forums?

If this is a .cs file, see below.

• Open 2 File Explorer windows.
• In one File Explorer window, go to Documents/NinjaTrader 8/bin/Custom/Indicator.
• In the second File Explorer window, go to Documents/NinjaTrader 8 OLD/bin/Custom/Indicators.
• Copy the .cs file from the Documents/NinjaTrader 8 OLD/bin/Custom/Indicators folder to the Documents/NinjaTrader 8/bin/Custom/Indicator folder.
• Then, open NinjaTrader 8.
• Go to Control Center > New > NinjaScript Editor.
• Right-click on the Editor and select 'Compile' to run a compile. Note that some compile errors might appear that need to be resolved.
