Daily Candlestick Closing Time Issue

Hi, I was hoping to address a situation on the Ninja Trading Platform when it comes to plotting daily candlesticks and their closing time frames.. Apparently on my platform the daily candle sticks that i use to trade with are not closing during the correct time frames within the NYSE operating hours "Open and close" . The daily candlesticks that i am seeing are closing well after 5pm EST (2pm PST 'my time) time which is where they should be closing day by day. It would actually be a HUGE help to get this little issue under control as it does affect my trading strategy quite significantly. I've tried attempting this several times and basically ended in failure.

How can I please set up the Daily Candle sticks to CLOSE at the Correct time Frame ??? (5pm EST) (Oh and save it to ALWAYS load that way)

Hello Brendon,

Can you please tell me to what broker/data feed you connect in the NinjaTrader platform. Historical daily data is loaded as per the Open-High-Low-Close values from the broker/data feed connection.

What instrument (+ expiry month) do you have selected in the chart?

Realtime data is received in the daily chart as per the trading hours template that is selected. You can select the trading hours template in the Data Series menu of the chart. If set to <Use instrument settings>, it will use the trading hours template selected at Control Center-->Tools-->Instruments. Please double click the instrument to view its settings including it default trading hours template.

Please note that trading hours templates don't affect historical daily data. They do determine during what hours historical data is loaded in minute and tick based charts. Historical daily data is loaded as per the OHLC values from the connected broker/data feed connection.
