    Minute data is frequently not loaded for the previous day

    Mostly every day I have to reload historical data for each symbol I monitor. It is like every day last minutes of the previous day are missing. I shutdown NT only when I go to sleep, all other times it is opened. I noticed that behavior for quite some time (may be 2-3 years ago). I use Kinetick as my primary data provider and trades via TDA.

    Thanks for your post.

    Could you confirm if you see this behavior on the latest release of NinjaTrader 8, Release 26.1?

    Is the issue reproducible without waiting the full day? For example, if you download data for a new symbol, shut down NinjaTrader, and then restart the platform, does the issue come back?

    If we find the issue is reproducible from there, Could you also let us know if clearing the cache and existing historical data helps? If so, we would want to narrow down to what actually causes that symptom to arise.

    To quickly test clearing cache and clearing historical data, you may rename the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\ folder to Documents\NinjaTrader 8\dbOLD\ and then run a NinjaTrader installer. From there, you can select Repair and the original db folder will be restored.

      Hi, Jim!
      I deleted all tick/minute data from db folder yesterday (it was A LOT of files) and so far it works as it should. I will post here if data becomes bad again. But at least there is somewhat a work around (may be make it as a weekly maintenance).

        The problem is still there on a second day after I cleaned up db folder.

          Jim is currently out of the office, but does clearing the cache again help?

          To delete the cache, follow the steps below.
          • Shut down NinjaTrader.
          • Open the Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > db folder.
          • Delete the sub-folder named 'cache'.
          • Restart NinjaTrader and test.

            Yes, deleting folders in db helps, but not just "cache", but "minute" as well.
