Alert for Bar Closing Above EMA

I want to create an Alert for when a bar closes above an EMA. I have the condition set for the Data Series with Bars Bars Ago = 1, Offset = 0 > EMA Bars Ago = 1, Offset = 0.

Is this correct?

Also, this is going to be a stop for an existing short position which will have only a target order. The alert will trigger a Buy order. I assume that this will be Buy to Cover and not Buy. I'm going to make a corresponding Alert for a long position. I would think that this is a Sell order and not a Sell Short order?

Yes, you would set 'Bars ago' to a value of 1, so it triggers the alert after the bar closes.

Yes, please select 'Buy to cover' for an order that will close a short position. Select 'Sell' for an order that will close a long position.
