    One of my chart windows freezing today.

    Hello,

    So, today what's been happening a few times lately is happening again. I have 4 open chart windows. Only one workspace (I only have one anyway).

    One of my windows are completely unresponsive.

    To my knowledge, the only way to "fix this" is to quit and restart and then maybe it will resolve.

    Yesterday, I had to "kill" (close it in task manager) Ninjatrader when closing down. Not able to exit. Closing down like normal not working as the buttons don't respond.

    Same thing happening today. That window is just loading forever. And I have to do a force closed to shut down the software.

    I'm not live trading at the moment, but am going live again in a few weeks and I'm seriously questioning if I can do so with Ninjatrader with the software acting like this...

      Hi Johnny, thanks for writing in. Are you running any third party addons in this chart? If so, please check the Log tab of the Control Center for any errors. If you can not access that, please look at the latest Trace files within Documents\NinjaTrader 8\trace and look for any errors. You can load up a different startup workspace by navigating to Documents\NinjaTrader 8\workspaces and deleting the "_Workspaces.xml" then launch NinjaTrader and it will start up in a different workspace that has nothing loaded on the charts. There is something you are running on your chart that is causing the freezing/crashing, because "vanilla" installations of NinjaTrader do not act this way.

        Yes, I am. I have been using them for a while, though, and didn't have this issue for most of 2021 as far as I can remember. It started this year...

        I can't see anything that stands out. Maybe I need help to take a look?

        FWIW, today my workspace loaded just fine. And maybe it does for a few days, but then this will invariably happen again. One word: unstable...

          So, I just opened Ninjatrader and this is happening (see screenshot). Had some issues during the week as well.

          FWIW, I have two windows open. The issue always seems to happen with this window. I have a few custom indicators on both windows.

          Had to split the picture in two:

            Hi, please try reducing the days to load in the data series. Also test on a blank 60 minute chart, that should load quickly with no custom indicators applied. If the charts are taking a long time to load with the custom indicators applied then they might be using 1 tick data which can take a long time to load.
