About the market when importing a batch from the stock symbol list

Hello ラリー,
Below is a link to the help guide on importing a stock symbol list.
https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...stock_symb.htm
In the 'Import Stock Symbol List' window, select the TSE as the 'Traded on' exchange (or the proper exchange).
You may need to further adjust the instrument settings to work properly with Interactive Brokers.
Check the instrument description in TWS and ensure the Tick size, Trading hours, and Currency are all matching as well.
Importing new symbols would not affect already existing instrument symbols, unless a new instrument is added that uses the same symbol mapping as an existing instrument.Chelsea B.NinjaTrader Customer Service

When I do the settings from the Import Stock List window, the 6804symbol chart is displayed at different exchanges, and when I change the Traded on setting from IBVwap to Tse, the 6804symbol chart is not displayed.
Also, in Interactive Broker, by selecting TSEJ, the 6804symbol chart is displayed in the TSEJ market.

Thanks for your reply. You will need to import the instruments for one exchange at a time.
NinjaTrader does not have a TSEJ exchange to select from. There is a TSE exchange however. It may be the TSEJ exchange is not supported.
You wrote: "NinjaTrader does not have a TSEJ exchange. However, there is a TSEJ exchange." Is it correct to say that TSEJ is the TSE exchange on the NinjaTrader side?

Hello ラリー,
I'm not entirely sure as I am not familiar with these exchanges or instruments.
The TSE is the Toyko Stock Exchange.
NinjaTrader Brokerage servers are for US Futures and do not have the TSE or TSEJ exchange available (or Equities at all).
However, you are connecting to ESignal, so this would be ESignals servers. I wouldn't be able to say if the exchange format for ESignals servers is TSE or TSEJ or if these are the same.Last edited by NinjaTrader_ChelseaB; 08-08-2022, 02:39 PM.Chelsea B.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Thank you for your reply.
I asked ESignal about the exchange format for the ESignals server and they said the following
Thank you for using live chat. May I have your username or customer number please?(22:07:01) You said: Thank you for your assistance. I would like to ask if the ESignals server exchange format is TSE or TSEJ or are these the same.(22:07:40) You said: Sorry. I don't have those.(22:08:45) Avery Hodge said: I'm sorry I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking what format our data is in?(22:09:04) You said: Yes, it is.(22:10:00) You said: I asked NinjaTrader earlier.(22:10:57) You said: They stated the following The NinjaTrader Brokerage server is for US Futures and this exchange (or stock) is not available. However, it does connect to ESignal, so this would be an ESignals server, not sure if the ESignals server exchange format is TSE or TSEJ or if these are the same.(22:11:01) Avery Hodge said: Quite honestly I think our data is in flat file, or in basic test. I've not heard of this TSE format, so I dont' think it's that(22:11:40) Avery Hodge said: What they are saying is their server don't' have TSE data(22:12:01) Avery Hodge said: TSE being the Tokyo Stock Exchange(22:12:15) Avery Hodge said: Now eSignal carries TSE data(22:13:11) You said: So the TSE is with the Tokyo Stock Exchange?(22:13:19) Avery Hodge said: that is correct(22:15:18) You said: I set up TSE to show charts on the NinjaTrader side, but could not get the charts to show up. What could be the problem?(22:15:51) Avery Hodge said: I'm sorry I don't support NinjaTrader so honesty I don't know.(22:17:38) You said: Yes, I see what you mean. Thank you very much for your time today. You were very helpful.(22:18:02) Avery Hodge said: You're quite welcome. What you might ask NinjaTrader is how to do Symbol Mapping

Hello ラリー,
I think you may be asking the wrong question.
We don't want to know what type of file the data is in. We want to know what exchange the symbol 6804 is traded on.
May we have a screenshot of the instrument settings for this in Esignal?
Have you removed the |TSEJ from the symbol mapping, as this is not an exchange NinjaTrader can work with.Chelsea B.NinjaTrader Customer Service

There appear to be three exchanges on which the symbol 6804 (Japanese stock) is traded: Tokyo Stock Exchange, the former Chae Japan (which was replaced by Cboe Japan), and SBI Japannext. We don't want to know what type of file the data is in. We want to know what exchange the symbol 6804 is traded on.
My apologies.May we have a screenshot of the instrument settings for this in Esignal?
There may have been a misunderstanding.
I subscribe to Interactive Broker's market data (Japanese stocks), not Esignal's market data.
Also, the deletion of the | is also row and TSE, but the chart seemed to be displayed on an exchange that is not the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
In summary
It seems that it is possible to display the chart on Tokyo Stock Exchange (what we want to achieve) by setting up the settings from the instrument as shown in the attached image, but when these settings are made from import (third attached image), it seems that the chart is displayed on an exchange that is not Tokyo Stock Exchange, but when the settings are made from import However, if the chart is set from import (third attached image), the chart will be displayed on an exchange other than the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Below is the attached image of the verification results.

Hello ラリー,
That was my mistake mentioning eSignal and not Interactive Bokers.
May I have a screenshot of the instrument settings in TWS (and not esignal)?
You are correct, when doing a batch import this will just have the symbol in the symbol mapping. Any adjustments will need to be made manually.Chelsea B.NinjaTrader Customer Service

You said that even with the program, if you want to adjust it, you have to do it manually.

Hello ラリー,
I am referring to any adjustments that need to be made to the symbol mapping with IB's special mapping format of Symbol|Exchange|Multiplier|Multiplier|Currency as the batch import window is only going to add the Symbol without any other other special mapping.Chelsea B.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Thank you for your reply.
I think it is necessary.
If the settings are configured as shown in the first attached image, data from the JPNNEXT trading market will be displayed, and I want to display data from the Tokyo Stock Exchange (which corresponds to Tse in the Ninja trader platform) from import.
In the TWS setup (second image), if you subscribe to the market data, the TWS user does not need to set up symbol mapping, just select the market and the arbitrary chart will be displayed.

Hello ラリー,
You can try using the TSE instead of the TSEJ, however I'm not certain that will work.
TWS does not use symbol mapping as TWS is not able to connect to multiple connection types and has no need for symbol mapping.
NinjaTrader connects to other connections, and the symbol mapping is necessary to use the proper symbol notation with that connection type.Chelsea B.NinjaTrader Customer Service
