Multiple Broker Licence & 2 Different Interactive Broker User IDs

Is it possible to connect to 2 different user ID's on Interactive Brokers? So I would like to use the same instance of NT8 and have the ability to send orders on 2 different interactive broker user ID's.

Hello trader-ap,

The best path for this is having multiple instances of TWS running with different accounts using different port numbers. The default port is 7496, the paper trading port is 7497, but if you add a connection with 7498 and set this up in TWS, this could be connected at the same time and provide both accounts.

That said, IB does do advisory and family/friend accounts where you can setup the account as a sub account under your account. The caveat with that, is that the accounts must be traded separately. Each account will appear as a separate account in NinjaTrader.

But yes, NinjaTrader can send orders to multiple accounts.

A NinjaScript Strategy will only have one account to send orders to. But using the Addon approach a script can send orders to any account.
