Move strategies from strategy builder to a subfolder

How to move strategies from strategy builder to a subfolder? I always get the error message "Strategy Builder strategies must be managed from New -> Strategy Builder" when drag & drop file in Ninjascript Editor. Thanks.

try from documents directory then NinjaTrader8 folder, sub folder , copying into your newly created folder. It can be done with Ninjatrader 8 Application closed.

Thanks for your post. Do you mean "copy" or "move" the file? When I "move" the file into my subfolder I get error messages from NinjaTrader (assembly not valid). Copy file make no sence and move file do not work for my NinjaTrader.

Hello martini,

Folders are not supported for the strategy builder, that is a feature of the NinjaScript editor and manually coded scripts. The NinjaScript editor needs to be used to make changes for script locations and folder creation. You would drag/drop the files into the folder shown in the NinjaScript editor to move them. Strategy builder scripts will produce an error alerting you to use the builder to manage the script instead.

Hello martini,

Folders are not supported for the strategy builder.

You would have to unlock the strategy and manually program it if you want to use folders. You can ignore the folders feature if you are using strategy builder.
