On two occasions my pc has locked up and I have had to press and hold the power button to restart the computer. Once the computer powers up and I launch NinjaTrader my License key is set to a sim License and all data connections are removed and the workspace, backgrounds and colors are all set back to defaults.

Hi fxmike, thanks for writing in. Check the Log tab of your Control Center for any errors about the crash. The only way to know what is causing the crash is to check the latest trace files within Documents\NinjaTrader 8\trace folder. If you are running any third party addons they may be causing crashing, or your Windows installation might be corrupt. Also make sure if you are running any antivirus software, add an exception for NinjaTrader8.exe. In order to save a workspace you must make your own, not use the default ones. Go to Control Center>Workspaces>New to create your own workspace that can be saved.
