How well integrated is NT8 with IB?

Hi

When I use TWS for trading, I am always getting annoying messages from IB in the middle of trades that I barely understand as they are always so opaque and confusing - how has NT8 got around this problem? Are the all ironed out and dealt with? Thanks.

Hello Irukandji,

Can you please disconnect Interactive Brokers in NinjaTrader first and then click configure in the lower right corner at Control Center-->Connections. Select your Interactive Brokers connection under Configured in the lower left. Enable 'Run-time pop up handling' on the right and click OK. Connect to Interactive Brokers again.

When this option is enabled, NinjaTrader will suppress TWS pop up windows.

OK but... what if it's something I need to know? Like, I don't have enough margin or something? Thanks.

Unfortunately there is no setting to specify what TWS pop up windows will be suppressed when this option is enabled.

I suggest to check with Interactive Brokers if there is a way in TWS to disable the pop up messages you don't want.
