Can't connect to live account

Hey everyone,

I recently opened a live account over at ninjatrader as I loved the platform. The problem I am having is when I received my live account login, and entered it onto the platform. I had only access to my demo account, and I still had the button "open a live account" at the top of the hotbar which I thought dissapears when you open a live account (attached an image)

Anyone know how to switch to the live account?

Or if i made something wrong

Would appreciate any help!

Do you have a paid license key?

Did you create a new Connection and enter your new
credentials (username/password) into that new Connection?

Use CC -> Connections -> Configure to add a new Connection.

Multiple Connections can exist and be shown in the Connections
dropdown menu. The thing is you will usually only be able to connect
to one of them at a time. To connect to more than one at the same
time, such as two different live accounts, well, that's where the
Multi-Broker license comes in.

I don't have a paid license key, I thought I could use the live account without having a paid key with the downside being high commission. Is that correct?

I did connect to the account and I also unchecked the demo box. However, when I connect to it, the only account I have is a simulation account that I created prior to opening the live account.

NinjaTrader started out as charting platform company. The
brokerage side was only added around 2014 -- so there are
really two separate companies owned by NinjaTrader Group
-- well, now three, since they added a clearing service.

I'm not sure you can trade a live account without paying
something to NinjaTrader -- they gotta make money from
the platform some way or another -- commissions are
revenue for the brokerage/clearing side.

NinjaTrader support will confirm, I'm sure.

It has limitations, of course, but if it meets your needs, it's a great choice.

Ah, I see ... but, without Chart Trader, ATM Strategies, OCO
orders, etc etc, well, NT isn't quite the same.

However, I do stand corrected.

Yep, looks like it should be possible to trade a live account
without paying anything to NinjaTrader -- but you sure lose
a lot of great features when you go that route -- yuck.

Your mileage may vary.

A live license key is required to trade live in the NinjaTrader platform as mentioned. You can obtain one from the link below.

There is a free option when you have an account with the NinjaTrader brokerage. It does not include all features of the NinjaTrader platform such as ChartTrader and ATM strategies. If you click the "i" icon for 'Core Essentials', 'Trader +' and 'Order Flow +', you can find more information.
