I am very thankful for this option, Right click chart, reload historical data! But, I must query why it has to be used quite so often.
This AM, I spent 20 minutes drawing some lines etc., but realise something looks a little off. Right click chart, reload hostical data (this was on a 60 minute chart), and, bam. I get a very different chart! This was with FXCM data feed, but I have the same with Continuum on occasion too. I do have to do it quite often. It's not that it is a burden as such. The worst is this am, when you do not even realise you are looking at a chart that has wrong data, missing bars, etc. I have noticed this often happens around re-starts. For instance, you shutdown NT8 mid session, start it up again. It's as if it does not store all the latest data.
Anyway - I'd be interested to know if there is anything specific that might cause this, but the post is primarily as feedback. It would be very good to have NT8 to a little more of an integrity check on the data it is using to ensure we are not looking at invalid data, and perhaps a little work can be done to prevent it happening in the first place.
Thanks.
