Plotting HLine (NT7 vs NT8)

When selecting Plot Style HLine in NT7, the plot line displays across the entire chart from left side to right side.

When selecting Plot Style HLine in NT8, the plot line displays from left side of chart to the current bar on right side and does not display to the right side of chart.

Is this an error? I would prefer the Plot Style HLine in NT8 to display across the entire chart. Thanks.

I have tested this on my end and cannot reproduce this behavior when applying the Horizontal Line drawing tool. As a test please open NinjaTrader in Safe Mode with the steps below.

Safe Mode will prevent NinjaTrader from:

• Loading workspaces.
• Connecting on start-up.
• Loading custom assemblies.
• Getting instrument updates from the server.

To enable safe mode, please use the following steps:

• Exit NinjaTrader.
• Hold the CONTROL key and double click the NinjaTrader icon.
• Keep the CONTROL key held down until you see the Control Center.
• You can verify you are in safe mode by going to Help -> About.

Next while in Safe Mode open a new chart and let me know if you see the same behavior.

Drawing Horizontal lines works just fine. I am inquiring about Plot Style - HLine. Please re-read my first post and respond to my question. Thanks.

Within NinjaTrader 8 when selecting a Plot style of Horizontal Line the distance between the last plot and right side of the chart will be based on the value input for the Right side margin setting within the chart Properties window.

As a work around to have the line drawn to the very right edge you would need to input a Right side margin value of 0 then scroll the chart back until the candles are in the the desired location.
