Error message

I have started getting this error every time I load NinjaTrader 8:

Error: Unhandled exception. Object not set to an instance of an object.

This is in the log file:

7/1/2022 10:42	Default	Strategy '262530238': unable to deserialize user data: There is an error in XML document (81, 4).
7/1/2022 10:42	Default	Strategy '262530242': unable to deserialize user data: There is an error in XML document (81, 4).
7/1/2022 10:42	Default	Strategy '262530243': unable to deserialize user data: There is an error in XML document (81, 4).
7/1/2022 10:42	Default	Strategy '262530239': unable to deserialize user data: There is an error in XML document (81, 4).

It happens regardless of what Workspace I load at startup.

I currently have no saved workspaces that contain charts with strategies. I have removed all those workspaces.

This happens on my current version, 8.0.26.1 64-bit, but was also happening on 8.0.25.

This started after I began experimenting with Blackbird from Shark Indicators. I removed all workspaces with Blackbird loaded and I still get this message.

I have attached log and trace files.

What do I need to do to eliminate this error?

Hello ralett,

While NinjaTrader is shut down, please navigate to Documents-->NinjaTrader 8-->templates-->Strategy. Remove or transfer (cut and paste) the folders for the strategies in question outside the Documents folder. If you now start NinjaTrader, do you still experience the errors?
