IB "tried and true" TWS changed to Version 10.12.2n

Currently NT8 is being used with tws Build 981.3o. This used to be the "tried and true" version. But if you go to the tws download page they have changed this to Version 10.12.2n. Will you be supporting this new Version 10.12.2n?

When using an Interactive Brokers account to connect to NinjaTrader, you must use the version of Trader Workstation or IB Gateway that is specified within the NinjaTrader — Interactive Brokers Connection Guide seen below:

• IB Gateway 981.3i - [https://ninjatrader.com/ninjatrader/...way-981-3i.exe)

• Please refer to the Connection Guide above for the Configuration settings of each
• If you have another version of TWS or IB Gateway on the computer, I suggest uninstalling it first to remove confusion moving forward

Once you have the version of Trader Workstation or IB Gateway as specified above, connect to your account within TWS or IB Gateway.

• After you are connected in TWS or IB Gateway, you are then able to connect to the account within NinjaTrader.

From there you will be ready to use the platform.


If you use a version of Trader Workstation other than the version specified in the Connection Guide, we cannot guarantee that it will work as expected and it is common to have issues with market data and orders not lining up.

When it comes to supporting a different version of TWS, this change is normally made if there is a major update that is required to continue functioning as expected.

• Otherwise, if everything is working as expected with the orders and market data between NinjaTrader and Trader Workstation, there is no need to make the changes.
