Moving NinjaTrader 8 to HDD

For the sake of saving space, how would I go about moving all my NT8 files from my SSD to my HDD. I primarily wanted my SSD which is the C drive for the Windows OS and the HDD (D: drive) for other applications. I thought NT8 wouldn't be storage extensive, but now all the historical data is taking 20+GB of space, is there a way to maybe just move that historical data onto the HDD and have NT8 still on the SSD and access the data from the HDD? Does moving NT8 and all its files to the HDD affect backtesting speeds and performance etc?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

You would have to relocate the Documents folder to the D:\ drive. All settings and data (including historical data) are stored in the Documents-->NinjaTrader 8 folder.

• Please shut down NinjaTrader first
• Open your Windows user folder - C:\Users\windows user name
• Right click on the Documents folder and select Properties
• Select the Location-tab
• Click Move and then select the location you want to move the Documents folder to
• Select Yes to move all the files to the new location
