    Symbol not found

Hey, I want to create strategy, that makes calculation on one symbol and enters trades on another.

However, I am unable to find one of the instruments in NinjaTrader. In Trading View the symbol is US10Y - US Government Bonds 10 Year. I can only find symbol 10YR, which is Micro futures contract, but it doesn't have sufficient data history to make calculations.

So my question - is there US10Y (not Micro futures, but regular) in NinjaTrader, but with different symbol, or only way to use it is to export data from TradingView and import to NinjaTrader (not the preffered option).

When I look into ZN and TradingView's US10Y it's completely different thing. I want something that would mirror 10YR chart with extended historical data, like ES for MES, or NQ for MNQ.

UltraNIX This is relevant: https://ninjatrader.com/support/foru...nds-instrument ... but it's really going to need a definitive statement from NinjaTrader Support to answer the question for you.

        Thanks.

          Hello UltraNIX,

Thank you very much for your patience.

When I look at this instrument on TradingView's publicly available website, it seems to indicate that this data originates from "Derived Data":

View live US Government Bonds 10 YR Yield chart to track the latest bond price changes. Find US10Y forecasts and the bond market news.

This seems to indicate that this instrument is not available through other providers, as it is derived from other data sources by TradingView directly. Further information can also be found when clicking on the "Derived Data" link, leading to the following, publicly available explanation:

Terms of service - an agreement that describes rules for using TradingView materials and products.

As other instruments don't seem to have this note, e.g. TradingView's ZN equivalent ( https://www.tradingview.com/symbols/CBOT-ZN1!/ ) this likely means it would not be possible to get this specific instrument's data on any other platform, unless you know exactly which data it retrieves and how it is being calculated.

If you have any further questions regarding this instrument, I would also suggest reaching out to TradingView directly, as they might be able to provide further information.

If there is anything we may assist you with from our end, please let me know!

Thank you for the explanation, so can you help me find alternative instrument to 10YR that (almost) mirrors it, with longer history, like ES is for MEs, NQ is for MNQ, 6E is for M6E, CL is for MCL, GC is for MGC and so on.

              Hello UltraNIX,

Thank you very much for your reply.

The only instrument I am aware of that would be connected to the 10YR is the ZN. However, none of the historical values overlap between these two instruments.

I highly suspect the way this instrument is being calculated by TradingView would keep us from finding an instrument with at least semi-identical values.

Should you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to let me know!
