    Creating an ALERT - anybody could tell me what's wrong?

    Hello,

    I'm trying to create an alert. Anybody could help me, what's wrong?

    I set the alert to emit a sound, but it's not working... no sound...

    Hello,

    Your condition is comparing the close value of the instrument to the indicator plot highlight. The scale of the indicator plot shows the values to be (I think) plus or minus 3 while the scale of the instruments is over 1800 so at no point will they ever be equal.

    Try comparing the highlight plot to numerical value 3.

      Hello TRADER_F,

      Thank you for your post.

      Your alert definitely will not work the way that it is currently configured. As Tasker-182 mentioned, there will never be a point where the price of GC is ever going to be anywhere near 3 or -3, which are the values of the indicator's plot.

      I'm not exactly sure how the indicator that you are using works or create it's plots, but I would concur with Tasker-182 again that you could probably compare the value of the highlight to 3 using the 'Numeric value' conditional object rather than the Data Series. Unfortunately, I don't have this indicator so I can't make an exact example but there is an example in our help guide of how to use the 'Numeric value' conditional object at the link below;

      If that does not work, you may need to contact the developer to see just exactly how the indicator creates those plots and if they have any suggestions for how to create the desired alert.
