"Trend" bar on simulated trader

Does anybody know what this bar is suppose to do and how can we turn it off? I can't turn it off right now and as far as I can tell it serves no purpose.

Thank you for your inquiry.

The 'Simulated Data Feed' is fake, internally generated data used exclusively for the offline demoing platform features and testing parameters. It is not reflective of the real market, and the direction of that data is controlled by the Trend slider. If you pull it up, the market will begin to move up. If you pull it down, the market will begin to move down. There's no way to disable the Trend slider, since it is integral to the function of the Simulated Data Feed. so how can I paper trade with market data that follows the actual market instead of it going where I want it to go?

You would need to connect to a supported real-time data provider. NinjaTrader is not a data provider in and of itself. If you do not yet have an account with one of our supported data providers, you may request a free data demo from the link below;

This demo will be good for 14 days from the date is requested. Your username and password will be sent to your via email from the email address CQGTrader@<a href="http://cqg.com/" ...k">cqg.com</a>. Please search your email inbox and spam folders for this email after requesting the demo.

Once you've received your username and password, you may create your connection using the guide at the link below;

When creating the connection, please ensure that 'Demo mode' IS selected, 'Use WebAPI' is NOT selected, and that you have not included any extra spaces or characters in your username and password.
