    Hello TaZ22,

    Thank you for your message.

You may add instruments like this by searching for them by symbol or keyword using the Instrument drop-down on your window or by typing directly into the window to begin searching like in the screenshot below. It looks like most of these instruments are included in NinjaTrader 8's database by default, but if there are specific ones that you cannot find, you may be able to add them as custom instruments to the NinjaTrader 8 database if your Data Provider supports them .

Add or Edit Data Series on your Charts

The different methods to edit or add a data series/instrument in a Chart are:
    • Type the Instrument/expiry directly into a selected Chart window or search bar at the top-left and hit 'Enter' on your keyboard (example: 'ES 06-22' 'MSFT') FDAX 06-22
    • Add an Instrument using any predefined or custom Instrument List in the drop-down menu at the top left of the Chart Window. If an Instrument is not already on one of these lists, you may add it by going to the Control Center > Tools > Instrument Lists window
    • Right-click in your Chart > select 'Data Series' > change/add instruments on the left side of the Data Series window

    Adding Custom Instruments

You may follow these steps to add a custom Instrument to NinjaTrader 8's Database:
    • Go to the Control Center > Tools > Instruments window
    • Click add at the bottom of this window to create a new instrument
    • Every Instrument will need a 'Master Instrument' name, correct Instrument Type, an Exchange, and Symbol Mapping for the Data Provider you are using
If you are unsure of the Symbol Mapping for a specific instrument, you will want to reach out to that provider directly or see what symbol it uses on their website/software.
