Backtesting and missing data

When i run same strategies sometimes data is missing sometimes not.
For example i loaded data last week no missing data for past period and run strategy.
I run strategy today again, but data is missing this time in same period. So, the results are different.
Since the results were different it was more easy to find out where the problem is.

I am running strategies for 8-10 years and afraid to run analyzer on ''new insturuments''. because it is impossible understand where the datas are missing or not?
So, whether results are accurate or not

Is there a way for NinjaTrader warn us that data is missing. Or, how can i solve this issue?

Hello Murphy67,

You would need to look at the historical data in the Tools -> Historical Data Window to check if any data is missing.

There wouldn't be anything in NinjaTrader internally to state data missing, as the instrument could not yet be trading, during the weekend, or on a break or holiday.

If the data is available on the historical data servers, you can always open a chart to the date range you want data for, then right-click the chart and select Reload All Historical Data.
