Scroll wheel

I use the scroll wheel a lot for navigating charts. But, if I click on the chart trader position size and forget to click off of it, the scroll wheel inadvertently changes the position size! This could be EXTREMELY dangerous! Is there a way to turn off the scroll wheel control of position size, but retain it for other chart navigation?

There would not be a way at the current time to keep the scroll wheel from adjusting the position size if that field is currently in focus. One thing you can do is make sure to click elsewhere in Chart Trader to move the focus off that field after adjusting the quantity.

That being said, I have added a vote for you to a current feature request to allow locking the quantity selector to a specific quantity. This request is being tracked under the number SFT-4313.

As with all feature requests, interest is tracked before implementation is considered, so we cannot offer an ETA or promise of fulfillment. If implemented, it will be noted in the Release Notes page of the Help Guide.

Thanks for the response. Wow! That is a really poor design. I understand how focus works. Muscle memory will always prevail especially when the brain is preoccupied with analyzing the market. This is so dangerous, my only option is to disable the scroll wheel or use a mouse without one. Thank you for putting in a vote for me.
