Chart refresh - used to be a definable input - now hardcoded

in the past NinjaTrader used to have a parameter in which you could set the charts to do a refresh. This was very handy especially in volatile markets (like it is now). However, somewhere along the lines the developers of NinjaTrader took this out.

Yes there are indicators that can do a simulated/virtual chart refresh. What is stopping NinjaTrader dev's from just putting in that parameter to bring back a HIGHLY requested feature that has been asked for time and time again.

I would think the devs would be a bit digusted to see their charts glitching from price point to price point since their refresh time is 250ms to 500ms.

#WHICKED (&Clayton for that matter) for feedback I've been using Hurleydood's Tick Refresh set at 100ms on all my fast tick charts on NQ etc and doing so has never - repeat never - caused me any problems, specifically chart render lag which is what this was all about in the first place. Sample size n=1 I know, but 5 years of testing through the wildest of conditions. Through those times I've had problems with lag due to other issues with the platform, but never chart rendering induced lag nor impacted by use of a 100ms refresh rate.

      Best,

TickRefresh seems to cause problems for me when using Volumetric charts during times of high volume. I use it in conjunction with Chartlagtime and the delay I was experiencing during the week of June 13, 2022 became unbearable. I recorded delay times reaching 240+ seconds at times.
