TMP Folder

Hello,

I have run out of storage space on my drive. I noticed that the tmp folder is about 30 GB.

What is this folder for?

What gets saved here by NT?

How can I go about reducing the size of this folder?

The TMP folder should only contain temporary files, most commonly created by third-party indicators.

However, it could be possible that a PC or platform crash caused these files to not delete after NinjaTrader shut down. While I usually don't expect this to reach such amounts, it would depend on the installed indicators.

In general, I don't expect any files in the TMP folder to be required for the platform to run. While I can't speak on behalf of every third-party add-on, I would not expect you to experience issues when removing all files therein.

If in doubt, I would suggest moving the files to a temporary folder and using NinjaTrader for one session to see if you encounter any issues. You could then still remove the files thereafter.
