Can't Place a Trade

I have the non subscription version of Ninja 8. I can't access chart trader or super dom. There's an odd little icon on the top bar that I think is supposed to allow me access to these features but its greyed out and says I need to upgrade my account. I don't know whats going on. I just want to place a trade without forking over $800 for a subscription. Also yes there's money in my account. Help.

This would indicate that you are using a free license key. Features like Chart Trader are only available for paid license keys.

A NinjaTrader Free Live Trading license key is a license key enabled with basic order entry only. When using the Free License, you can use the SuperDOM, Basic Entry, or Order Ticket tools to place trades.

The following features are not included in a Free Live Trading license key:
