custom location for ninja-custom dir

In older versions I used to use to put this in shortcut>properties>target:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 8\bin64\NinjaTrader.exe" /d "C:\Users\user\Documents\NinjaTrader 8.dev"

like that in `Properties` of the shortcut, to force NT to create/use other custom location instead of default `docs\NinjaTrader 8`.
However, I can no longer do that, as when I place that location in the Properties of file, it NT doesnt even start .

This would be officially unsupported.

However, it would be added to the target.

can you please write down here the full content you write in `target`? because when I just put a location directory there, then shortcut turns into a folder location shortcut.
(i know it is not officially supported, but i want even unofficial way to start of from other location, like mentioned example).

Chelsea, what you posted is what I've tried already, but it doesnt work for me, that's why i've posted. have you tested yourself? can you confirm that if you put a new path (which path/folder doesnt exist yet) and you start that NT shortcut, will it create & initialize that folder with the respective files inside? do you confirm it works on your end?

or i should pre-create that location folder, before I start that shortcut?

actually, i've tested both ways, but none of them work.

Not supported. I can't provide any more than that.

The path has to match the path on your computer to your documents nt folder.

But yes, it does work for me.
