    CME ES / NQ mini/micro - data?

    Hello

    Which data do I need to subscribe to for ES / NQ mini and micro feeds?

    Thanks.

    Hello lrukandji,

    Thank you for your post.

    This Support Forum is intended for support and technical discussion of the NinjaTrader Platform. It would be best to direct with question to your broker directly. If NinjaTrader Brokerage is your broker, I would recommend posing this question to our Brokerage Teams directly at BrokerageSupport [AT] NinjaTrader (dot) com.

    Please let us know if we may assist you any further in the future.

      (it's been a while since I used the platform and forums)

      Last time I had data from my broker (Interactive Brokers) but it was useless with NT8 as it would take minutes to load new charts. (NT said this was an IB throttle issue, not NT's fault)

      So I had to buy a subscription to NT's Kinetic data feed.

      I just wonder if I will have to do that again? Or can I use IB's feed connected to NT8, have those problems been resolved? The less data I'm paying for the better of course!

      .I won't be changing charts often at all, as now I will be focusing on the ES and NQ only.

      Thanks.

        Hello lrukandji,

        Thank you for your reply.

        Interactive Brokers has not removed these limitations from their data. This is indeed due to throttling on their end, which you may read about at the publicly available link below;

        https://interactivebrokers.github.io...mitations.html

        This is a self-imposed limitation that Interactive Brokers puts in place, and it cannot be circumvented by any of their API customers so there's not really anything that we can do about it. If you want to avoid running into this limitation, using a different data provider would still be the suggested solution as other data providers do not put this limitation on their data requests. Otherwise, you'd just want to learn how to configure data requests to avoid throttling by only requesting a few thousand bars at a time.
