NT8 with Interactive Brokers

Hello,

I want to use my NT8 lifetime license with Interactive Brokers, I followed the NinjaTrader connection Interactive Brokers guide ，I can not find Interactive Brokers in connection configure in NT8 . when I check my IB API setting I found second line is grey ,Is that the reason or is it something else? thanks！

Hi,

I recently went through the same thing.

With a Sim license, you can use your IB Data feed.

When you buy a lifetime license, you can no longer use your IB Data feed.

You can A) Revert back to a Sim only license and use IB data feed for backtesting etc. (but you can't trade or paper trade even)
B) Purchase a multi broker license and use your IB Data feed and whatever other data feeds you have. And live trade/paper trade.

To add one recent discovery which I was not aware.

If you use NinjaTrader and IB to trade Equities during Pre or Post market the ATM function does not work.

Switching your Single broker NT version you mean?

Disable the trading with your current broker, and instead licence it for IB as a single broker?

I guess that would be at the discretion of the NinjaTeam,but I always found them really cool.
Can always drop them over an email.

I personally have the Lifetime Multibroker which gives good flexibility. Now I can loose money in multple accounts!!
