Brokerages that work well with NT8

I need a second brokerage account. And since I have multi-broker, I should be able to run two copies of NT8, correct?
Do you have a list of brokerages that work well with NT? Or should any brokerage witk with it?

No.

The Multi-Broker License does not allow you to do that.

The MBL allows you to connect using multiple broker technology
connections from a single instance of NinjaTrader.

For example, if you currently had an account at NT Brokerage
using Continuum, you are using the Continuum adapter for your
connection. With an MBL, you could open a 2nd futures account
at IB, and then create a NinjaTrader connection to IB (which uses
IB's adapter), and connect to both accounts at the same time in
a single instance of NinjaTrader.

Running two copies of NT8 is an entirely different thing, and has
never been related to the presence/absence of an MBL.

In fact, NinjaTrader has always limited each PC to running a single
instance of the NinjaTrader software -- if you try to start a second
instance, you'll see an error message.

An MBL is about the underlying technology used to make the
connection to the broker, not about the broker itself.

To make live trades in two different accounts on two different
PCs requires two different NinjaTrader licenses.

To make live trades in two different accounts on the same PC
within a single instance of NinjaTrader requires one of,

1) Two different accounts at two different brokerages such that
each NinjaTrader connection uses a different broker technology
adapter. This case requires a multi-broker license.

2) Two different accounts at the same broker, such that only
one set of login credentials is needed to connect to the broker.
This case does not require the expense of an MBL, since only
a single broker connection is involved.

Case #2 is available with Apex and Leeloo, which uses Rithmic.
That is, they both advertise multiple accounts using a single login.

[EDIT: Note that Apex, Leeloo, and TopStep are funding brokers.
These kinds of brokers require that you prove your trading skills
in a qualification process before you can with draw your profits.
I mention them because their qualification process is like paper
trading but the simulation occurs at the broker, not within the
NinjaTrader software. From NinjaTrader software point of view,
any kind of account from any of these funding brokers is just like
a live account -- it is the funding broker controlling whether your
account is truly live or simulated.]

'Multiple accounts with a single login' is a brokerage feature, and
doesn't really involve the NinjaTrader software platform.

Note that NinjaTrader brokerage personnel do not respond to
questions on this forum, per (I think) SEC rules.

I would suggest you contact your current broker and specifically
inquire how to open & fund a second account such that both of
your accounts are available using your existing login credentials.

Where are you located?
(Availability changes based upon your country, even with
something simple like USA vs Canada, it can change)

What instruments are you wanting to trade?
Futures? Forex? Stocks?

Who is your current broker?
(might help with suggestions/goto ideas on 2nd broker)

With a Multi Broker license key you will have access to all supported brokerage connections. A list of supported brokers for the NinjaTrader platform can be found at the link below:

A live license key can be used on as many computers as you like so long as you are only running NinjaTrader on one computer at a time with the same license key. To trade live on multiple computers at the same time would require multiple live license keys.

Thanks for the response, all.
I am in the US and have a NT brokerage account. I trade micro-minis, mostly MES amd MNQ.
I have no plans spending any more money on additional licenses on such an old platform.
If I were to need additional licenses, I will focus my attention on a state-of-the-art platform.

I have no plans trading multiple accounts on multiple platforms. My plan is to extract live tick data for offfline analysis,
I will be using a high end gaming machine to analyze tickk data.

IB: Are you referencing Interactive Brokers?

Unrelated. I am getting errors on this platform. Started in the past week.See attached image.Then I get logged out.
