Different ATM Strategy for different instruments

Hi,

I apologise in advance as this may have been addressed before. I trade CL and ES futures and have a different strategy for each, but even though I have different charts to trade each instrument when I e.g. apply a strategy for CL on its chart it automatically transposes the same on the ES trading chart. Kindly let me know how I can retain distinct ATM strategies for each.

Unfortunately, this is currently the expected behavior when using multiple tabs in the same window. When using tabs in the same window, the parameter selection is universal as far as things like the Account, Quantity, TIF setting, and ATM Strategy template. For the time being, you must have 2 separate windows if you'd like to have 2 different ATM Strategy templates selected on each chart. With that being said, this is something that we are tracking interest in as a feature request and I have added a vote for this feature on your behalf. The tracking number for this request is SFT-2060.

As with all feature requests, interest is tracked before implementation is considered, so we cannot offer an ETA or promise of fulfillment. If implemented, it will be noted in the Release Notes page of the Help Guide.

Okay, I'm wondering if there is a work around. Can I create separate charts for different instruments, versus tabs, in the same window to allow the different ATM strategies to apply to each chart/ instrument?

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, if you have separate chart windows then you can select a different ATM Strategy template on each. This issue only affects tabs, since tabs share certain parameters. You can even move your CL chart to it's own window by right-clicking on the tab and select 'Move to New Window'.
