Unable to clear out cache, also told to reload historical data

For some weeks now, NT8 has an error message every time I close it saying "Unable to clear cache" and now when I loaded my workspace it specifically told me to reload tick data from today. Despite doing so my tick charts will not work.

Thank you for your reply.

It looks as though something in your workspace has corrupted your chart data cache and historical data. I'd recommend clearing your cache to resolve this issue. To delete the cache, follow the steps below.

• Shut down NinjaTrader.
• Open the Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > db folder.
• Delete the sub-folder named 'cache'.
• Restart NinjaTrader and test.

Should the error message continue to appear after clearing the cache, please let me know. We may need to delete your historical data files as well.
