Backtesting taking too long

I use IBKR as my connection, I use minute data, QQQ/AMD (anything really) as an instrument.
works perfectly fine as long as I don't go a single day before 01/01/2022 as the start date but one day before that and suddenly it takes forever.

I'm sure it has something to do with the historical data or data base but I don't know how to fix it.

Hello Mo98alda,

I suspect you are triggering Interactive Brokers pacing violation when attempting to request to much historical data from their servers. Are you backtesting daily bars? If so can you please disconnect from IB then connect to the Kinetick End of Day (Free) connection and verify if you can then backtest successfully.

Backtesting with Daily works fine with any start date using Kinetic and IB the problem only appears with minute data.

for the limitations I might have triggered "Making identical historical data requests within 15 seconds" how do i fix this?
But i haven't requested any data under 1 min time frame so that might not be it

i tried disconnecting and closing IB and then reconnecting but the problem persists even when i try to avoid triggering any pacing violations

To verify if you are able to load data from IB for the time period requesting data for please open a new Minute chart for AMD and within the "Days to load" setting input a value that will load data prior to 1/1/2022 and let me know if you can view data prior to 1/1/2022 in the chart when scrolling back in the chart.

Update: chart works but backtesting doesn't loaded up 365 days on the chart took a couple of seconds to load and worked, backtesting doesn't work even if i only test for a single day before the default date

Nevermind I fixed it I just loaded the historical data for the instrument again and it started worked as it should be
