So I may accurately assist you, please answer all of the following questions:

• What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.? or 8.0.?.?)
• What instrument symbol (and expiry if applicable) have you selected? For example, ES 03-22, AAPL, EURUSD, etc.
• Are you disconnected from the Playback Connection?
• Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

Please also provide a screenshot of the window with the greyed out button visible.

• To send a screenshot with Windows 10 or newer I would recommend using the Windows Snipping Tool.

Thank you for your reply .

The button is greyed out because you are connected to the Playback Connection. You need to disconnect from the Playback Connection because you cannot use the download utility while connected.
