I cannot import a ninjascript please help

I am getting the following message: Unhandled exception:The network name cannot be found.(Exception from HRESULT:0x80070043)

This error usually indicates that NinjaTrader's Documents folder is on a network drive. This can cause issues with a variety of scripts and is not advised.

Most commonly, we see this when NinjaTrader is being installed on a macOS-based virtualization platform, e.g. Parallels. If this is the case, please ensure the following setting has been set to circumvent this:

1. Start Parallels and select your virtual machine
2. Press the "Configure" button on the top
3. Under "Options", select "Sharing"
4. Uncheck "Share Mac" under "Share Mac User Folders with Windows"
5. Press "OK" and start the virtual machine

After changing this setting you would have to reinstall NinjaTrader, as Parallels generally does not move this folder.

Should this not resolve the issue, or if you are not using macOS, please let me know!

I guess I am not following the selection of virtual machine? Is that in settings how do I get to configure? I apologize in advance not the biggest tech guy

If you are using Parallels, please follow the instructions above, you would find those settings directly in Parallels.

If you are not using Parallels, please send me your platform's log & trace files, I can then best assess why you receive this error.
