    Maximize / Minimize / Restore chart windows (WinKey)

    Windows10 function to maximize focused window: CTRL + WinKey + Up arrow key

    Windows10 function to restore or minimize focused window: CTRL + WinKey + Down arrow key

    I have multiple NT8 charts open, but it doesn't work on all of them. Not sure if this is a bug or if there's a reason for it.

    If someone could look into this or shed some light on it, that would be great.

    Thank you for your post.

    So we can further diagnose your system, please start NinjaTrader in Safe Mode.

    Safe Mode will prevent NinjaTrader from:
    • Loading workspaces.
    • Connecting on start-up.
    • Loading custom assemblies.
    • Getting instrument updates from the server.
    To enable safe mode, please use the following steps:
    • Exit NinjaTrader.
    • Hold the CONTROL key and double click the NinjaTrader icon.
    • Keep the CONTROL key held down until you see the Control Center.
    • You can verify you are in safe mode by going to Help -> About.
    Once in Safe Mode please connect, and then close your workspace under the Control Center > Workspaces > hover your mouse over your workspace and select 'close'. Do Not Save

    Then please reopen your workspace to populate your windows.

    Are you able to replicate this behavior while in Safe Mode?

      I followed your instructions; yes the same thing happens as before.

      On this particular Workspace, there are 4 charts. 2 of them maximize & restore but don't minimize, and the other 2 don't maximize but they are able to be minimized and restored using those key combos.

          Yes I've tried many scenarios: duplicating charts, creating new charts, creating new workspace...the max seems to be only 3 charts that will fully function in regards to CTRL+Win+up/down.

          IDK if its a hardware issue but it exceeds NT8 recommendations of 2ghz / 8gb RAM / Dx10 gpu / SSD

          I have i7 2.6ghz - 3.5ghz / 16gb RAM / nvidia 2GB / SSD

          And I tried the above with bare basic time charts, no indicators and no data connection (so there's no CPU load).

            BBQSizzle This is a bug or not implemented correctly in Ninjatrader, which is very hard to believe and so sad. I already posted this almost 2 years ago, see HERE. But still today nothing has changed, unfortunately.

              Please send me your log and trace files and your workspaces so that I may investigate further.

              You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support

              Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

              Then expand 'Other files' and enable 'Workspace files and UI settings'.

              Please reference the following ticket number in the body of the email: 3528524 ATTN Spencer F.
