Market replay stocks

Hi!

I would like to perform a marker replay with daily trading's ( intraday tick/second data is needed) in NT8. Is it possible to do it only with historical data of stocks with market data from Interactive Brokers and/or TDAmeritrade? I´m having some trouble doing that it seems Market Replay back connection only has futures and forex?

Hello designer01,

Currently we only store replay data on our servers for most common Futures and Forex instrument. Unfortunately Interactive Brokers and TD Ameritrade do not provide historical tick data within NinjaTrader therefore in order to receive historical tick data you would be required to connect to a provider that offers this data. If you are looking for a data provider for historical Tick data for Stocks I recommend using Kinetick: (Our Preferred Data Feed Service Built Specifically for NinjaTrader) which provides historical Tick, Minute and Daily data for Equities, Futures and Forex.

OK thank you. If I wanted market replay for minute/daily data for stocks how would I do it? I have both Interactive Brokers and TDAmeritrade connections.

In order to replay historical data Tick data would be required even when selecting a Minute or Daily intervals.

Hi Christopher, I got Kinectick subscription to stocks. Can you direct me to a video or instructions as to how to set up market playback with Kinectick? Also how to send orders from a chart with Kinectick live data to Interactive Brokers .Thanks

To download historical Tick data to be used with the Playback Connection go to the Control Center->Tools->Historical Data->Load tab and at the top are the settings to download historical data. Keep in mind when download data enable "Tick" within the options.

Once completed restart NinjaTrader->Connect to the Playback Connection->Enable "Historical data" within the playback controller. Next right click in the playback controller->Go To->Input a date and time->Click Ok then click the play button on the controller.
