Is there a way to draw my own trend line and attach an order to it?
(not using the auto trend line indicator.)

Hello 7cott,

Thank you for your inquiry.

You could draw your own trend line using one of the line drawing tools (line, ray, extended line, etc.). After drawing your trend line using one of these drawing tools, you could create an alert on that line that would submit an order when the price either crosses above or below it, depending on what direction the price is moving and where the line is. To do this;

• Select the trend line that you drew with a single left-click (anchor points will appear on the line when it is properly selected)
• Right-click and select 'Alert'
• In the 'Conditions' window, select either Cross above or cross below in the center area of the window
• Select OK on the 'Conditions' window to close it and add your condition
• Scroll down to the 'Actions' section and select 'add'
• Select 'Submit an order'
• Choose your preferred account, order action (either buy or sell), order type, quantity, TIF, and (if desired) ATM Strategy
• Select OK to add your action
• Select Apply and OK to create the alert
