    backup/restore Replay data to a new computer

    Hi, I am trying to transfer my NT8 data to a new computer. I did a backup of all the data and the file is huge: more than 56 GB.
    In fact I am only interested in the Market replay. However after importing the data back I don't see all the market replay data I had on the previous computer.
    I see some data for 2020 but nothing for 2021 or 2022.
    I exported everything... but imported only Database / Historical chart data / Market replay.
    I tried several time but only see market replay for 2020.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you very much for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader forums!

    I suspect the size of the backup might be the culprit in this case. NinjaTrader 8's backups are, in general, renamed ZIP files. This ensures that if everything fails, we are still able to manually extract any files therein.

    I would suggest renaming the backup file to a .zip file and opening it manually. This would then allow you to restore only the market replay files saved therein. You may find these under db\replay.

    By unpacking these into the same folder in NinjaTrader 8 (Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\replay), and restarting the platform, you should then have access to all market replay data.

        Hi!
        Sorry for brining back a long dead post. But, I had to reinstall NT8 and I have my historical files saved. They are actually still in the same place because I just had to do the "fix" instead of a full new install. So the files are in db --> replay but none of the files are loading (after multiple restarts of the software).

        Any suggestions?
