Save live Market Data to PC for faster loading

Can you send me to notes on how to do this. Also is the data only downloaded once the symbol is opened and the live data downloaded for each individual symbol?

Hello SAITON,

NinjaTrader automatically caches and records historical data once it has been downloaded.

The way this works is that when an instrument is being charted, NinjaTrader will open the real-time data connection (this creates an overlap), before loading the historical data it has from the hard drive.

Any data that is not locally available, will then be requested through the exchange/brokerage to fill all existing gaps.

The next time this chart is being opened, the newly downloaded data would then be used instead of downloading additional data.
