"Historical Data", TWS 981.3h and NT8.0.25.0 64-bit

Hi,

I've attached 2 charts for the same instrument with the same timeframe. The one ending with "a" is after I have used "Reload All Historical Data" function on NT8.

Everytime I run NT8 and connect to TWS, NT8 will, I assume, pull data from IBKR via TWS platform because the previous session's data is somehow not saved on NT8.

When that process is completed, the historical data on the chart usually looks like what I get in SPY_SPYS 220216 C 448 (1 Minute) 2022_02_16 (5_32_03 PM).jpg, with the massive gap at a particular point in time. This invariably forces for to "Reload All Historical Data" to get the desired result, like in SPY_SPYS 220216 C 448 (1 Minute) 2022_02_16 (5_32_26 PM)a.jpg.

This only happens to options data and rarely happens with stock data.

Is there any way to resolve this issue?

Hello Kay Wai,

Please note that the required TWS version is 981.3i with NinjaTrader. Can you please download and install TWS 981.3i from the Interactive Brokers connection guide below and check if the issue persists. You can find it under 'Requirements'.

If the issue remains, please proceed as per the steps below.

Shut down NinjaTrader and navigate to the folder below.

Documents-->NinjaTrader 8-->db folder.

Delete the "cache" folder that is within the "db" folder.

The db-->cache folder is used to quickly load data in charts, so the first time you load chart data after deleting the db-->cache folder, it will take a little longer to load than usual. Once all data is loaded, it will load data as before.

Start NinjaTrader and check if all requested data is loaded in the chart.
