    Add-on Scrip Error message

When attempting to load an Add-on from RizeCapital (levels inticator) NT8 crashed. Following reboot/restart of Ninja, when attempting to remove/load ANY add-on indicator I get the following error message:
“You have a custom NinjaScript files on your PC that have programming errors. These errors must be resolved before you can import a NinjaScript Archive File.”

I can neither install, or remove NinjaScript files. All was working flawlessly just prior to this event. Thanks

    Hello EsNqYmGcCl,

    Thank you for your message.

This message indicates that there are NinjaScript errors on your platform that need to be resolved before you can import any others.

To begin resolving this, do the following:
    • Go to the Control Center > New > NinjaScript Editor
    • Right-click in the NinjaScript Editor > select 'Compile'

You should see some errors in orange appear at the bottom of the window. Expand this window so that as many of these errors, if not all of them, are visible. Expand the error message itself as much as possible. Please send a screenshot of these errors, and we will be able to send you the steps to resolve them.

To send a screenshot with Windows 7 or newer I would recommend using the Windows Snipping Tool.

Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

Thank you in advance. I look forward to assisting you further.

        Hello EsNqYmGcCl,

        Thank you for your response.

This error is caused when a .dll file is being referenced that NinjaTrader is unable to find.

        Steps to Resolve
        1. Right-click within the NinjaScript Editor window and select "References".
        2. Locate and select the reference to the .dll file mentioned in the Error.
        3. Click "remove" to remove the reference.
        4. Click "OK" and recompile.

        Video Example of Resolution

Once this error is resolved and no more appear, you will be all set to import and manage your add-ons normally again.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
