    Ninjatrader MES point value

Hello, so I am testing different platform to start trading in the future and I noticed that there is a huge difference in point value in ninjatrader and two other platform Plus500 and XTB. https://ninjatrader.com/blog/what-ar...0-futures-mes/ Here I found information that a point in ninjatrader is worth $5 (when buying 1 MES requiring $50 to open) but in Plus500 and XTB (both with leverage 1:20) a point is worth $0.5 (when buying quantity of assets requiring $100 to open which in case of XTB is minimal value needed to buy minimal quantity which is 0.01). Where is this difference coming from? Is ninjatrader's leverage higher than other 2 brokers? Or maybe it's the difference that in ninjatrader MES is a future and in XTB it's an index? Maybe it's a stupid question but I'm new to this. Thanks for help!

Screenshot from XTB (PLN is polish currency 1 USD = 4 PLN)

    Hello slow21,

    Thank you for your post.

The point and tick values of each instrument are set by the exchange. They do not vary from provider to provider or broker to broker. Just judging by your screenshot, it looks like you may be looking at an entirely different instrument. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the other 2 platforms that you mentioned to know for sure. I would suggest contacting the other 2 platforms and getting some clarification on if this is actually MES and what exactly the 'pip size' formula is.

Please let us know if we may assist you any further.

Thanks for your reply. I think it might be as you mentioned different instrument. Stupid mistake but it's new to me and sometimes I get lost. Thank you for help.
